NOTICES OF INTENDED REGULATORY ACTION
Vol. 33 Iss. 19 - May 15, 2017

TITLE 22. SOCIAL SERVICES
DEPARTMENT FOR AGING AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES
Chapter 20
Notice of Intended Regulatory Action

Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services intends to consider amending 22VAC30-20, Provision of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. The purpose of the proposed action is to reduce the priority categories for order of selection for persons determined to be eligible for services from four to three. The Rehabilitation Services Administration, the federal agency that regulates the state-federal vocational rehabilitation program, is requiring a reduction in the number of categories for the order of selection, based on a determination that the current categories II and III are not different enough to warrant being two separate categories.

The agency does not intend to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.

Statutory Authority: § 51.5-131 of the Code of Virginia.

Public Comment Deadline: June 15, 2017.
