Administration of Medical Assistance Services
Notice of Intended Regulatory Action

Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Board of Medical Assistance Services intends to consider amending 12VAC30-20, Administration of Medical Assistance Services. The purpose of the proposed action is to implement Chapter 890, Item 300 H of the 2011 Acts of Assembly, which requires electronic Medicaid claims billing for providers newly enrolled on or after October 1, 2011, and for all other providers as of July 1, 2012.

The agency does not intend to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.

Waivered Services
Notice of Intended Regulatory Action

Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Board of Medical Assistance Services intends to consider amending 12VAC30-120, Waivered Services. The purpose of the proposed action is to create standards for the exception to the new hourly limit for waiver covered personal care services that individuals must satisfy in order to be approved for such services in excess of the new limit.

The agency does not intend to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.
