State Plan under Title XIX of the Social Security Act Medical Assistance Program - General Provisions
Notice of Intended Regulatory Action

Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Board of Medical Assistance Services intends to consider amending 12VAC30-10, State Plan under Title XIX of the Social Security Act Medical Assistance Program - General Provisions; 12VAC30-20, Administration of Medical Assistance Services; 12VAC30-30, Groups Covered and Agencies Responsible for Eligibility Determination; and 12VAC30-40, Eligibility Conditions and Requirements. The purpose of the proposed action is to incorporate changes made to the State Plan for Medical Assistance to implement Medicaid expansion, including (i) establishing the adult eligibility group as a group eligible for Medicaid coverage, (ii) updating the Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) program and HIPP for Kids program, (iii) making expansion-related changes to the federal medical assistance percentage, (iv) updating the federal medical assistance percentage for expenditures associated with new enrollees, and (v) allowing individuals who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits to be moved into Medicaid coverage on an expedited basis.

The agency does not intend to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.

Amount, Duration, and Scope of Medical and Remedial Care Services
Notice of Intended Regulatory Action

Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Board of Medical Assistance Services intends to consider amending 12VAC30-50, Amount, Duration, and Scope of Medical and Remedial Care Services. The purpose of the proposed action is to add the alternative benefit plan available to individuals to the State Plan for Medical Assistance to implement Medicaid expansion.

The agency does not intend to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.
