Title of Regulation: 18VAC125-20. Regulations Governing the Practice of Psychology (amending 18VAC125-20-10, 18VAC125-20-150, 18VAC125-20-160).

Statutory Authority: §§ 54.1-2400 and 54.1-3605 of the Code of Virginia.

The Governor has approved the request of the Board of Psychology to extend the expiration date of the emergency regulation for 18VAC125-20 for six months as provided for in § 2.2-4011 D of the Code of Virginia. Therefore, the emergency regulation is continued in effect through January 1, 2023. The proposed regulation was published in 38:10 VA.R. 882-889 January 3, 2022. This extension is required for the Board of Psychology to ensure the regulatory requirements for implementation of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact mandated by Chapter 1162 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly continue in effect. The board voted to adopt the final regulations at its June 28, 2022, meeting. The emergency regulation was published in 37:12 VA.R. 1335-1337 February 1, 2021.

Effective Date Extended Through: January 1. 2023.
