Titles of Regulations: 12VAC5-31. Virginia Emergency Medical Services Regulations (repealing 12VAC5-31-10 through 12VAC5-31-2970).
12VAC5-32. Virginia Emergency Medical Services Regulations. (adding 12VAC5-32-10 through 12VAC5-32-2460).
Statutory Authority: §§ 32.1-12 and 32.1-111.4 of the Code of Virginia.
Notice is hereby given that the State Board of Health has WITHDRAWN the Notice of Intended Regulatory Action for 12VAC5-31, Virginia Emergency Medical Services Regulations, that was published in 33:19 VA.R. 2034 May 15, 2017. The purpose of the proposed action was to replace the current chapter with a new chapter governing emergency medical services (EMS). Changes being considered would have made the regulation easier to use by regulants and easier to understand for the public. Due to the significant time elapsed since the publication of the NOIRA, the board needs to consider and address additional changes in the field of emergency medical services before drafting proposed amendments. Therefore, this NOIRA will be withdrawn and another NOIRA will be published after additional review has taken place.
