Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the State Board of Health intends to consider repealing the following regulations: 12VAC5-610, Sewage Handling and Disposal Regulations and promulgating 12VAC5-611, Onsite Sewage Regulations. The purpose of the proposed action is to adopt new performance-based regulations pertaining to locating, designing, constructing and operating onsite sewage systems and repeal existing regulations.

The agency does not intend to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.

Public Comments: Public comments may be submitted until 5 p.m. on November 12, 2008.
