Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Board for Waste Management Facility Operators intends to consider amending 18VAC155-20, Waste Management Facility Operators Regulations. The purpose of the proposed action is to amend the regulation to (i) eliminate burdensome entry, renewal, and reinstatement standards; (ii) simplify the explanations of requirements; and (iii) produce regulations that more effectively protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public and that will be more easily read and understood by the public. This review is in response to the Governor's Regulatory Reform Initiative.

The agency intends to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.
