Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the Code of Virginia that the Cemetery Board intends to consider amending 18VAC47-20, Cemetery Board Rules and Regulations. The purpose of the proposed action is to make clarifying changes, incorporate language as necessary to implement new statutory requirements for interment of pets (Chapter 500 of the 2014 Acts of Assembly), ensure consistency with Virginia law, and make any other changes that may be considered necessary.

The agency intends to hold a public hearing on the proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.
