Regulations Governing the Licensure of Nurse Practitioners
Notice of Intended Regulatory Action
Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of
the Code of Virginia that the Board of Nursing intends to consider amending 18VAC90-30,
Regulations Governing the Licensure of Nurse Practitioners, and 18VAC90-40,
Regulations for Prescriptive Authority for Nurse Practitioners. The purpose
of the proposed action is to set the qualifications for authorization for a
nurse practitioner to practice without a practice agreement with a patient care
team physician, including the hours required to be the equivalent of five years
of full-time clinical experience, the content of the attestation from the
physician and nurse practitioner, the submission of an attestation when the
nurse practitioner is unable to obtain a physician attestation, the requirements
for autonomous practice, and the fee for authorization for autonomous practice.
The agency intends to hold a public hearing on the proposed
action after publication in the Virginia Register.

the Code of Virginia.

State Response When a Local Department of Social Services Fails to Provide Services
Notice of Intended Regulatory Action
Notice is hereby given in accordance with § 2.2-4007.01 of the
Code of Virginia that the State Board of Social Services intends to consider
promulgating 22VAC40-677, State Response When a Local Department of Social
Services Fails to Provide Services. The purpose of the proposed
action is to provide the Commissioner of the Department of Social Services with
regulatory authority to direct and oversee the provision of public assistance
and social services in a local department of social services in the event the
local department fails, refuses, or is unable to provide such services as
prescribed in Subtitles II (§ 63.2-500 et seq.) and III (§ 63.2-900
et seq.) of Title 63.2 of the Code of Virginia.
The agency does not intend to hold a public hearing on the
proposed action after publication in the Virginia Register.
